TERRENCE SUND MEMORIAL - Grave site tribute to Red Warrior Terrence Sund of Bravo Co. KIA 1967. Read 2017 Newsletter, p5.
SP4 Terrence Sund, of Bravo Company, drowned while searching an NVA tunnel in December of 1967. He was 20. A Wisconsin native, his remains were returned February 1967 and his ashes were placed in a storage room where they lay for 48 years. We will pay tribute during the 2023 reunion. Car Pool to and from cemetery.
NAVY VET Steve Conto will tell of his efforts in finding Sunds remains and raising the necessary support to provide him a full Military funeral. Contos and the American Legions efforts in teh state of Wisconsin led to state legislation to find other unburied vets. |
